We’re Hiring: Athletic Program Manager

Job Summary:

The Athletic Program Manager (APM) is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining stability in the 17 Rose City Rollers roller derby teams and programs. This position is pivotal in fulfilling RCR’s Mission and maintaining focus on our Core Values. At times, the APM is faced with the challenge of balancing limited resources and ensuring equitable access to programs. To achieve this, the APM must be prepared to compromise and diplomatically facilitate member-driven decisions to ensure resources are allocated fairly and programs are accessible to all. The focus on equity is critical to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for all participants, members, and volunteers. Despite these challenges, the APM must remain committed to delivering high-quality, consistent, and transparent sports programs that meet the wants, needs, and interests of all stakeholders.

Developing and maintaining relationships with participants, members, volunteers, and the community is a critical aspect of the APM. This ensures that programs meet everyone’s needs and interests, and requires effective communication, transparency, and feedback. The APM must also work collaboratively with volunteers and coaches to ensure they feel valued and supported. Building strong relationships fosters a supportive community that benefits all.
