Our Track, Our Community

Volunteer

Why Volunteer?

With nearly 1,000 active volunteers, RCR is a 501(c)3 non-profit that is almost entirely volunteer-run. In 2017, volunteers contributed over 23,000 hours of their time, and we would not be where we are without everyone’s continued support. Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers, for your support of the league!

If you love the idea of being part of what makes our events amazing, if you want to meet new people, or if you want to hang out with that friend or loved one that joined the league as a skater and they’re always skating now, this is the thing for you!

We recognize our most stellar volunteers with the Gold Star Award. See a list of past Gold Star winners here!

Want to join the volunteer team?

Step 1: Apply to Volunteer With RCR! Our volunteer coordinator will get in touch with you about the next steps.

Step 2: Join our Volunteers Facebook Group! Urgent volunteer needs are often posted in this group, so join to stay in the loop!

During the bouting season, we need lots of volunteers at each event to help things run smoothly, including:

  • Ushers to keep walkways clear, help fans find seats and provide other guidance.
  • Graphic Designers to create handbills, posters, website content, banners, program designs and more.
  • Medics to help keep our skaters safe on the track. If you have a medical background, check out our full position description to see if your credentials match our needs. If you’re interested in helping, please email our Medic Coordinator.
  • Front Entrance, Photobooth, Raffle, Merch Staff and more!

Step 3: Feel free to e-mail our Volunteer Manager with ideas about your skills, and what you’re interested in. As a volunteer-run non-profit there are lots of ways to get involved!
