Rose City Rollers is a 19-year-old, 501c3 nonprofit, fearless sports organization that prides itself in being body positive and an empowering space for women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals. We are the largest roller derby league in the world with 550+ members, ages 7-64+. Our members are engaged in many aspects of our organization through skating, volunteering, and more. The Role:
The Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist is an experienced storyteller who will develop strategic internal and external communication plans to implement across platforms while effectively capturing the voice of the Rose City Rollers. They possess strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, are tech-savvy and proficient with different project management, social media platforms, and email automation tools. They are comfortable managing communications calendars and writing and editing emails, press releases, campaign materials, and social media content on tight deadlines. They use their communication skills to support RCR’s goals, including event promotion, member recruitment, and narrative copywriting.
Work Schedule:
This role is full-time at 40hrs/week. Work often happens on weekends and evenings. Outside activities and meetings, work is done from a home office, typically M-F, 9-5.
Compensation:
$44K – $55K, reviewed annually. Benefits include paid vacation, holiday pay, sick time, a flexible schedule, a monthly tech stipend, fully paid health benefits, and participation in Oregon Saves retirement savings program (estimated value of $12.5K per year).
