Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and/or implement a development plan in conjunction with leadership.
  • Write grant proposals and report to corporate, foundation, and government funders.
  • Ensure data is entered into CRM (Little Green Light) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Train and oversee development volunteers (with support from the Volunteer Manager).
  • Work to develop a league-wide culture of philanthropy.
  • Support team and program fundraising.
  • Help lead league fundraising events.
  • Plan and manage various annual appeals.
  • Develop and manage the Board of Directors’ fundraising capacity.
  • Sponsorship management, including email management, contract creation, and fulfillment.
  • Build strategic relationships and contacts within and outside of the league.
  • Create a donor recognition strategy that is meaningful to current and future donors.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of development and volunteer management experience or transferable skills.
  • Proof of being fully vaccinated (including applicable boosters) is required.
  • Experience executing development-related marketing campaigns.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Experience working with diverse employees, members, volunteers, and donor base.
  • High energy, upbeat, “can-do” attitude; high degree of initiative; strategic thinking and an ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of database programs (Microsoft Office, Little Green Light, MS Teams, Slack)
  • Able and willing to work from home on personal equipment (computer, phone, etc.).
  • Reliable transportation to our venue and other off-site locations as needed.

Work Schedule: This role is designed to be 40 hrs./wk. full-time, exempt. Work generally happens 9a-5p weekdays plus some evening and weekend meetings/events.

 

Compensation: $46,000-$56,000 salary based on experience, reviewed annually. Benefits include 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision; paid vacation; sick time; a flexible schedule; a monthly tech stipend; merchandise discounts; free skating membership; and participation in Oregon Saves Retirement. The total compensation plan is valued at $13,000.
